Michele Orlando

Hi, I’m Michele

I direct, shoot, and edit cinematic short films for brands. I graduated in Film & TV from New York University's Tisch School of The Arts. While completing my degree, I worked as a Field Producer for RAI Italian News Television and CBS Newspath.

After New York, I moved to Rome where I worked as Editor and DoP under renowned documentarian Rubino Rubini, and shot the official company documentary for Ferrari S.p.A., and other corporate productions.

In the decade I spent in Hong Kong, I filmed content all over Asia, and worked with multiple agencies (such as Razorfish, Digitas, Boomerang, Bespoke, and others) as Director, DoP, and Editor, before becoming head of film production at Blackbird Automotive in 2016. With them, I won the Best Documentary Short award at the 2019 International Film Awards for Prototipo: a One-off Journey.

From 2020 to 2024 I lived in Amsterdam and worked creating content for Microsoft, Malibu (VMLY&R), and Alaïa.

Now, I am based in Rome with my family, and work as a brand filmmaker all over Europe and the world.
